Destination Footsteps works like a native app — no App Store needed. When you visit the site, tap Add to Home Screen (iOS: Share → Add to Home Screen · Android: tap the install prompt). It launches full-screen just like any other app.
Purchase your tour on this site. Each ticket is one Access — one seat, one device. Buying for a group? Purchase one Access per person. You'll receive a confirmation email straight away with your tour link and Booking ID.
There are two ways to reach your tour page. Option 1: tap the direct link in your confirmation email — it takes you straight there. Option 2: open the app, go to Tours → your city, and find the tour you purchased. Either way, you'll enter your Booking ID on the tour page to unlock your Access.
On the tour page, enter the Booking ID from your confirmation email to unlock your Access. Everyone in your group uses the same Booking ID — each person enters it on their own device, and each entry claims one seat from your booking.
When you tap Start Tour, your browser will ask for location permission — tap Allow. This is how the tour knows when you've arrived at each stop. Your location is never stored or shared.
Your live map shows every stop numbered in order. Head to Stop 1 and follow the route. Swipe left or right on the stop cards to browse ahead, or tap Open in Maps on any stop for turn-by-turn walking directions.
When GPS puts you within range of a stop, Play Narration unlocks automatically. Tap it to hear the full audio story. Skip back 10 seconds, ahead 15, adjust playback speed, or follow along with the transcript. Pause anytime — your tour waits.
Finish every stop and a completion screen marks the end of your journey. Your Access stays active — come back to revisit a favourite stop anytime, or share the experience with someone new.
